Sunday Funday

Starting Thursday September 10th, the NFL returns to televisions worldwide. Sunday is no longer just another day in the week as a large slate of games is set for the weekend's end. From fantasy to tailgating and cold beers to sloppy burgers, everything about the wonderful game of football is back. Sure it technically started a week previous as the NCAA teams kicked off their season's but it almost seems as if there isn't the same majestic feel to it. There's something about hearing the legendary Jim Nantz' voice while sitting down to eat Sunday dinner and something about having your week ruined by one 60 minute sporting event. NFL football is that sport that can cure your college team's heart break loss the day before or make the Monday to come even worse. Either way you see it, football is back.

Going into the year there are many questions surrounding the league. Did Brady deflate balls? Should the Seahawks have given the rock to Lynch? Will Tebow make a team? Although some of these questions will be left unanswered, I know forsure without question that my butt, along with millions of other's will be on the couch on Sunday afternoon tuning in to see how our beloved team's do. With only 16 games in 17 weeks we all know that every game is important because you never know what could change the course of your season. Football is wonderful because even Raiders fans have playoff aspirations before week one (they may not last long after that but we will let them have their time) . The point is no matter what happens throughout the off season or off the field, we all LOVE football.

As we skip ahead to late November, I see the division winners to be the exact same as last year, but the wildcard race could be different. If I had to choose a darkhorse I would put my money on the Pittsburgh Steelers to make a run to Santa Clara's Levi Stadium for Super Bowl 50. With so much to look forward to and a lot more to look back on, this football season should be no less entertaining than that of years past. Football is always going to attract viewers and will always break hearts, but that's what keeps us coming back on Sunday's.NFL football is that sport that can cure your college team's heart break loss the day before or make the Monday to come even worse. Either way you see it, football is back.
